Featured Jobs and Internships of the Week – Summer Opportunities

Each week the Career Services team will highlight new or unusual opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students and alumni. This edition features picks from Autumn Weyant ’20 and Sher Gill ’21, who assist our employer outreach team to expand recruiting opportunities at Princeton.

It’s that time of the year again. As the temperatures begins to rise every spring, so does the stress on Princeton’s campus around the question of “What are you doing this summer?” Fear no more, because it isn’t too late to find your dream internship. This week we’ve curated a list of positions for this upcoming summer that represents a large variety of industries and interests, all of which have feasible due dates for you to still compile a killer application!

Picks of the Week: 

  • D. E. Shaw & Co.: Proprietary Trading Intern
    The D. E. Shaw group is a global investment and technology development firm. Ideal candidates will possess a high level of computer literacy, will excel at both quantitative and qualitative problem-solving, and will have an interest in financial markets – no previous experience in finance is necessary. You’ll have until April 29 to apply.
  • Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers: Summer Associate
    The Coalition is working to improve health outcomes and quality of care as well as decrease healthcare costs for Medicaid patients in Camden. In this internship, you will work on qualitative research project involving in-depth interviews with patients and providers with a purpose to systematically capture and understand the experiences and perspectives of both the providers who care for patients with complex health and social needs and the patients who navigate health and social services in the city. Students from any year or background encouraged to apply, due by April 27.
  • CVS Health: Creative Marketing Internship
    Geared towards rising seniors, this 10-week paid internship offers the opportunity to work in marketing and advertising at a fortune12 company. You will work both on a team and individually toward various project goals. Applications are due by April 20.
  • Genetic Alliance: Maternal and Child Health Internship
    Genetic Alliance is one of the world’s leading nonprofit health advocacy organizations. Students who take on this job will help improve the health delivery system for women, children, and families at different points in their lives. Applications are due  June 8.
  • Amazon Studios: Strategy Summer Intern
    Rising juniors and seniors of any department are invited to spend their summer as a summer strategy intern at Amazon Studios. They’re looking for a highly motivated, successful candidate with a passion for television and the entertainment industry to join their team. The intern will spend around 10-11 weeks conducting data-driven analysis to make customer-obsessed recommendations (both tactical and high-level) to help leaders develop our content plans. Some basic qualifications include being able to communicate effectively and having a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Make sure to apply by April 27.
  • 20th Century Fox: National Geographic – Brand Strategy & Consumer Marketing
    Sophomores or older who have minimal marketing/advertising experience are invited to apply for an internship at National Geographic’s Brand Strategy & Consumer Marketing team. Some of the intern’s responsibilities include assisting with strategic development for marketing campaigns and initiatives, research marketing and branding trends, as well as perform general marketing tasks to support the rest of the team. Applications close May 29.
  • The Council on Foreign Relations: History and Research Internship
    The Council on Foreign Relations is a leading nonprofit membership organization dedicated to increasing America’s understanding of the world and contributing ideas to US foreign policy. Their history and research summer intern will report to a fellow in their Studies department and assist the fellow with research, editing, and administrative tasks. The intern must be studying political science, political philosophy, history, economics, or a related field. Apply by May 31.
