Each week the Career Services team will highlight new or unusual opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students and alumni. This edition features picks from Autumn Weyant ’20 and Sher Gill ’21,  students who assists our employer outreach team to expand recruiting opportunities at Princeton.

As Princetonians, we can often get stuck in the orange bubble and forget that the rest of New Jersey even exists. Check out these exciting internships and jobs that exemplify the many diverse and exciting opportunities New Jersey has to offer, and get outside of the bubble!

  • Princeton University – Office of Advancement: Advancement Office Summer Associate
    If your interested in going into the development or educational advancement industry stay on campus this summer and work for the Office of Advancement! In this paid internship, you will gain exposure to areas such as prospect research, stewardship, communications, marketing and events. It also includes an expense free trip to D.C. for training with Council for Advancement and Support of Education, along with access to CASE programs and conferences for the next year.
  • Princeton Consultants: Consulting Careers for Scientists and Engineers
    Seniors torn between their passion for STEM and their love for consulting can satisfy both with this career position. Work for a well-established consulting firm who specifically targets the science community as clientele.
  • GEP: Consulting Associate
    Another job for graduating seniors wanting to go into consulting. Looking for creative problem solvers, GEP is a thriving and fast growing firm with offices and clientele all over the globe!
  • HarperCollins: Editorial Services Summer Internship
    Calling all the English majors or people interested in going into publishing: In this paid summer internship, you’ll spend your time learning the ins and outs of what it takes to get published. Help with proofreading ebooks to check for grammar and editorial standards, along with other administrative tasks.
  • Princeton-Blairstown Center: Summer Literacy Instructor/Facilitator
    If you’re still on the search for a summer internship, the Princeton-Blairstown Center offers the perfect position for everyone. Get paid plus free training, housing and board as you help run a summer camp educational curriculum but also fun outdoor activities. They offer one position for literacy instructors and another for STEM instructors. Design your own curricula and help educate New Jersey youth while having fun!
